Zlatko Bacic is Named Meyerhoff Visiting Professor at Weizmann

bacic.jpgProfessor Zlatko Bacic has been selected for a 2013 Joseph Meyerhoff Visiting Professorship in the Department ofweizmann.png Chemical Physics at the Weizmann Institute for Science in Rehovot, Israel.  The Meyerhoff Visiting Professorship was established by the late Mr. J. Meyerhoff of Baltimore, Maryland, to attract outstanding scientists to the Institute, in all areas of contemporary research, for the purpose of research and teaching. Zlatko's host in the Spring of 2013 will be Professor David Tannor, the Herman Mayer Chair in Chemical Physics.  They will collaborate on the development and implementation of novel efficient bound state methods applicable to high-dimensional systems.

And this comes on the heels of Zlatko's appointment to the three-member International Scientific Advisory Board in the Ministry of Science, Education, and Sports of the Republic of Croatia. This Board will play a key role in the efforts of the Ministry to restructure and modernize the country's major institutions of research and higher education. The goal is to make them internationally competitive and recognized for their excellence and innovation, and capable of serving as generators of new knowledge-based technologies in Croatia.
